It has the head of a bat, red eyes, purple skin and wings of a pterodactyl. What is it?
It is the newest creepy monster which people say is stalking small animals near Mount St Helens, which they have now dubbed Batsquatch.

Paul Dale Roberts, paranormal investigator received a phone call one day reporting a sighting of this strange creature near Mount Shasta.
Until now, the only documented sighting of the Batsquatch was reported in 1994 by mountaineer Butch Whittaker. Whittaker claimed to have taken several photos of the creature as it flew over head in the light of day. These photos have never been released and some doubt that they even exist at all.
Mount Shasta itself already has its fair bit of weirdness in the past, with reports of UFO’s, bigfoot, ghosts, the Lemurians and even visitiations from venusians.
Some people theorize that when Mount St. Helens erupted, it also opened up a dimensional portal, through which strange creatures emerged, one of which is the creature known as Batsquatch. This creature has since moved on to Mount Shasta.
Sightings of Batsquatch date back to the 1980′s, but it is still seen up into present times.
Over the intervening decades, people have noticed that a number of small animals have been savagely attacked and slaughtered in the area. Is there indeed a strange creature causing this carnage? Continue reading »
In the eastern states of Australia there could live a creature of myth and legend. People call it the ‘Yowie’. This elusive homonid is often also called ‘The Australian Bigfoot’.

The Aboriginal tribes of eastern Australia have longed told stories of a creature that was fearsome and hairy, up to or over 2.6 metres in height, with strong muscular bodies, powerful arms and large hands longer than a human’s. They walked upright upon two legs with a stooped gait. Their heads were sunk into their shoulders, giving them the stooped appearance.
Their heads are described as having a skull dome, receding forehead and having thick, protruding eyebrow ridges overshadowing their large deeply-set eyes. Their feet are said to be larger than a humans and they possessed an opposable toe.

These descriptions match those given by modern eye-witnesses.
The first accounts from westerners appeared in 1835 when one Mr. Holman wrote about his trip to Australia. He write “The natives are greatly terrified by the sight of a person in a mask calling him ‘devil’ or Yah-hoo, which signifies evil spirit.”
Just five years later, scientists were already starting to debate whether or not it could be a real species, or just a character from legend. European settlers in the 1880′s began reporting sightings of a strange creature often said to resemble a large monkey. Somewhere along the way the “yahoo” become known as the “yowie”.
The Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp (also known as The Lizard Man Of Lee County), is a humanoid cryptid which is said to inhabit areas of swampland in and around Lee County, South Carolina.
The Lizard Man is described as being seven feet tall (over 2m), bipedal, and well built, with green scaly skin and glowing orange eyes. It is said to have three toes on each foot and three fingers on each hand which end in a circular pad on them that stick to walls. The creature has an incredible degree of strength, more than capable of ripping into a car.

First Sightings
The first reported sighting of the creature was made by Christopher Davis, a 17 year old local, who said he encountered the creature while driving home from work at 2 AM on June 29, 1988.
According to his account, Davis stopped on a road bordering Scape Ore Swamp in order to change a tire which had blown out. When he was finishing up he reported having heard a thumping noise from behind him and having turned around to see the creature running towards him.
Davis said the creature tried to grab at the car and then jumped on its roof as he tried to escape, clinging on to it as Davis swerved from side to side in an effort to throw it off. After he returned home, Davis’ side-view-mirror was found to be badly damaged, and scratch marks were found on the car’s roof–though there was no other physical evidence of his encounter.
“I looked back and saw something running across the field towards me. It was about 25 yards away and I saw red eyes glowing. I ran into the car and as I locked it, the thing grabbed the door handle. I could see him from the neck down – the three big fingers, long black nails and green rough skin. It was strong and angry. I looked in my mirror and saw a blur of green running. I could see his toes and then he jumped on the roof of my car. I thought I heard a grunt and then I could see his fingers through the front windshield, where they curled around on the roof. I sped up and swerved to shake the creature off.” Continue reading »
